Local Produce, North Canterbury Food & Wine Trail

Local food producers in and around North Canterbury are being invited to become associate members of the North Canterbury Food & Wine Trail.

By including local producers on the North Canterbury Food & Wine Trail website, quantities of food produce, products and seasonality information will be available to members of the trail when planning their menus. This is vital for the existing trail members as the North Canterbury Food & Wine Trail has strict guidelines on the use of local produce in menus for its members.

Local Producers will benefit from:

Greater awareness by local restaurants and cafes on the North Canterbury Food & Wine Trail of the local produce available when planning their menus
Exposure to new markets via this website
Tailored training workshops and coaching for local food producers
New "Meet the Buyer" and "Meet the producer" events to enable both sides to have a greater understanding of each other's needs and products.

As this is a new service being offered in North Canterbury, it is still in the very early stages and nothing is set in stone!!

We envisage that a fully searchable database will be available here on this site soon, but at this stage we are simply listing the companies and what produce they have available by season.
