South Canterbury Wine and Food Festival

Come and join us for a day of fun in the sun at our annual South Canterbury Food and Wine Festival.
The stunning venue of the Timaru Botanical gardens will allow you to sit back and relax and enjoy a top line of national and local talent, savour local foods and quality wines, and browse the Art Alley exhibits and the many stalls on display.
This festival is a major annual fundraising event for Hospice South Canterbury, so come along and support this very worthy cause while enjoying the best food and wine South Canterbury has to offer.
Mistletoe Market - Twizel
Saturday 27th November, 9am-2pm
Gala Day including over 50 craft stalls, food stalls featuring local produce and entertainment. 'Boru' an Irish Folk band from Geraldine will be performing. There will be plenty to keep the kids entertained with Josh the clown and a magic show, also a helicopter lolly drop and face painting. There will also be the High Country Christmas Parade, where all sorts of clever and imaginative floats will be on display. Fundraiser for various local organisations

Waimate Strawberry Fare
Saturday 11th December from 10.30am
A free family orientated day to celebrate Waimate’s luscious red claim to fame… its strawberries. Featuring all day entertainment along with 250 stalls selling crafts, plants, jewellery, wine, clothing and strawberries. Father Christmas arrives at 11am to start the days celebrations.
Mackenzie High Country Fete
Sunday 13th March, Mt John Homestead, Lake Tekapo
Arts, crafts, wine, food, childrens' entertainment, music by Boru. 10am - 3pm, $5.00 entry adults, under 16 yrs free entry. A Lake Tekapo Promotions Assn event.
